Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Senior Classification & Compensation Analyst in Los Angeles. You will lead advanced analyses, implement and maintain the classification system, and advise managers on pay structures and market data.

The role requires strong Excel/data analysis skills, ability to manage complex projects, and collaboration with labor negotiations from a classification perspective. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in classification and compensation studies and presenting recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive classification and compensation analyses with recommendations.
  • Perform working out of classification audits by interviewing staff and evaluating responsibilities.
  • Plan and execute classification and compensation reviews with focus groups and updated class specifications.
  • Lead salary surveys and data collection to assess market competitiveness and internal equity.
