City of Arroyo Grande is seeking an experienced accounting supervisor to plan, supervise and review payroll, accounts payable, utility billing and customer service. You will oversee audits and internal controls, participate in budget preparation, and may act as Administrative Services Director in the director's absence.

Five years of responsible accounting experience, including supervisory duties, plus a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of responsible accounting experience with supervisory duties.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and financial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Plan, supervise and review payroll, accounts payable, utility billing and customer service.
• Review and audit claims, computer generated records and related documentation for accuracy.
• Prepare budget with the Director of Administrative Services.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly financial statements and reports.
• Act as Administrative Services Director in the director's absence.
• Respond to emergencies and oversee internal controls and audits.
