Job summary

The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) seeks a strategic, collaborative CIO to lead enterprise technology and digital enablement across the System. Reporting to the System President, the CIO will develop and execute an enterprise technology strategy that supports the 58 colleges and advances student success, workforce development, and institutional effectiveness.

Qualifications

Associate degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, public administration, or a related field with ongoing professional development.
Significant executive leadership experience in complex enterprise technology environments.
Experience leading enterprise applications, infrastructure/cloud, cybersecurity, integration, data, and technology operations.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise technology strategy aligned with NCCCS priorities.
Lead enterprise architecture, integration, security, and data platforms.
Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, disaster recovery, and IT governance.
Collaborate with NC community colleges to share services, standards, and innovation.
