Job summary

Talisman is seeking a Chief Risk Officer to lead enterprise-wide risk management for a growing energy and commodity trading business. The CRO will define risk appetite, oversee ERM, and challenge trading leadership on strategy, positions and capital allocation.

The role requires 15+ years of risk leadership in energy/commodity markets, deep VaR and stress-testing expertise, and a track record building scalable risk organizations. North American markets experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive risk leadership within energy or commodity trading.
• Experience as CRO/Deputy CRO or Head of Risk at a trading/energy platform.
• Deep expertise in VaR, stress testing, PFE, collateral strategy, ISDA/EEI/NAESB.
• Knowledge of NA power markets and global gas/commodity markets.
• Proven track record building and scaling risk organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise-wide risk management for market, credit, liquidity and operational risk.
• Define and govern risk appetite, ERM framework, policies and limits.
• Provide independent oversight to trading leadership on strategy and capital allocation.
• Build, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary risk organization.
• Direct risk technology and model governance including ETRM/CTRM strategy and validation.
