Job summary

January is building a new Chief of Staff function in our New York office. You will partner directly with the Founder and CEO to shape how we plan, decide, and communicate across multiple products and teams.

The role focuses on driving speed, clarity, and accountability in decision cycles, removing bottlenecks, and ensuring the company learns and adapts quickly. You will own the six-week planning rhythm, run critical triage, and oversee diligence on bets with a narrative carried to the board and

Qualifications

• Proven ability to think strategically and translate decisions into actions.
• Experience leading cross-functional operational improvements.
• Comfort with fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive six-week planning cycles and ensure focus on problems that matter.
• Own operating reviews and action plans to address gaps.
• Coordinate triage between reviews to surface issues earlier.
• Diligence on bets, including unit economics and risk assessment, in leadership memos.
• Build board decks and investor updates, and communicate performance transparently.
• Push decision-making down to the context owners and remove blockers.
• Collaborate with BizOps on orphaned problems and ownership alignment.
