Job summary

Seattle Symphony Orchestra & Benaroya Hall seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead a $19.1M annual contributed revenue program and capital campaigns. This top-level fundraiser will build strategic donor relationships, expand the donor base, and guide a team of sixteen fundraisers.

The CDO reports to the President & CEO and partners with the Marketing and Financial leadership. The role requires extensive fundraising experience in the arts, strong leadership, and a track record of growing

Qualifications

• Substantial fundraising experience at a sizable arts institution.
• Experience raising principal or major gifts from individuals and institutions.
• Proven ability to develop campaigns and donor engagement plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy for annual, endowment, and capital campaigns.
• Drive donor solicitation and stewardship programs with boards and staff.
• Recruit and engage new donors across education, community impact and arts audiences.
• Oversee fundraising operations, data analytics, and donor recognition.
