Job summary

St. Croix Preparatory Academy seeks a Finance Director to serve as the chief financial administrator for the school. You will provide strategic leadership for all financial operations, ensure sound stewardship of public funds, and support the mission through accurate reporting and long-range planning.

The role requires extensive knowledge of Minnesota charter school finance, UFARS, MDE reporting, and Skyward. You will oversee budgeting, audits, internal controls, and board reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Extensive knowledge of Minnesota public charter school finance preferred.
• Experience with UFARS and GAAP/GASB standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to Executive Director and Board.
• Develop long-range financial forecasts and sustainability plans.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and cash flow analyses.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
• Coordinate audits and grant management.
• Lead Skyward system administration and financial reporting.
