Job summary

The Owasso Chamber of Commerce seeks a President/CEO to lead strategy, operations, and business community engagement in Owasso, OK. This role reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Board Chair and Executive Committee to guide staff, volunteers, and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years in chamber management, economic development, or nonprofit leadership with staff supervision and budget responsibility.
• Proven success in revenue development, strategic planning, and relationship management; strong financial judgment, communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with a volunteer Board, lead a small team, manage competing priorities, and use membership databases and business software; high ethical standards and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Chamber's strategic plan and Board policies; develop annual goals and work plans, report results, and support Board and committee leadership.
• Lead membership recruitment, retention, and engagement; secure renewals and sponsorships; oversee member service and investor benefits fulfillment.
• Grow revenue through membership, investment packages, events, and advertising; manage budget, cash flow, financial controls, reporting, and audits.
• Lead economic development through Onward Owasso; support business retention, expansion, and recruitment; advance Workforce Owasso and small business support.
• Lead Advocate Owasso; build relationships with public officials and represent policy positions; oversee advocacy programs and maintain nonpartisan approach.
• Oversee Chamber events, Leadership Owasso, and the Ambassador program; evaluate programs for member value and financial performance.
• Serve as principal spokesperson and build business, education, and community partnerships; oversee marketing, communications, website, directory, and media relations.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff; manage contractors, facilities, technology, and membership systems within budgets and policies.
• Maintain records and procedures, protect confidential information, and advance organizational development initiatives.
