Job summary

St. Anne's-Belfield School in Charlottesville, VA seeks an accomplished Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO) to join SALT and guide financial strategy, facilities, HR, IT, risk management, and capital planning.

The CFOO will partner with the Head of School and Board to align resources with priorities, drive data-informed decision making, and lead a high-performing operations team in support of academic excellence and civic engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience overseeing finance, operations, or administrative functions in independent schools or nonprofits.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, investments, and long-range planning.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and governing boards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of School and Board on strategic planning and long‑term sustainability.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, investments, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Lead operations, facilities, IT, HR, risk management and admin services.
• Manage HR, compensation, benefits, facilities planning, and risk oversight.
• Build relationships across the school community and external partners.
