St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls.

Reporting to the CFO, you will drive budgeting, cash management, and endowment oversight for a vibrant independent school. This senior role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who collaborates with faculty and staff to safeguard assets and support strategic goals within a community of purpose and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting and financial analysis.
• Non-profit experience is a bonus.
• CPA license is highly desirable.
• Strong spreadsheet-based financial modeling & data analysis.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with COFO on budgeting, analysis, forecasting, and variance alerts.
• Manage annual financial audit and IRS Form 990 filings.
