Job summary

Dickson Electric is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the utility’s financial strategy and regulatory compliance. The role oversees budgets, audits, and capital planning to ensure financial health.

The CFO will manage cash flow, debt issuance, and investments while maintaining high ethical standards and strong relationships with the Board, regulators, and auditors. A CPA and extensive municipal or utility finance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ten years of municipal or utility financial management experience, five in a managerial/executive capacity.
• CPA certification required; Master’s preferred substitute for up to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct accounting and finance functions for reliability of financial systems.
• Develop financial strategies to support long-term business plan.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
• Develop long-range financial forecasts and capital plans.
• Coordinate annual financial audits.
• Ensure regulatory reporting compliance.
