Saint Joseph’s College is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Finance/Treasurer to serve as the principal advisor on the College’s business and financial operations. Standish, ME, offers a scenic campus and opportunities to lead strategic financial initiatives for growth and sustainability.

The role requires extensive experience in treasury, budgeting, investments, and risk management, with oversight of audits, tax, and multi-year planning.

Qualifications

• A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible financial leadership and management experience.
• Experience overseeing treasury functions, financial reporting, annual and strategic budgeting, long-term and endowment investments, real estate development, long term debt management, risk management and new business development (including public/private partnerships).

Responsibilities

• Ensures the financial health of the College through effective leadership, collaboration, direction and oversight to the College’s financial operations.
• Overseeing the development of the annual operating plans with SMART goals for the units in the finance area.
• Meeting regularly with Leadership Team to coordinate service delivery.
• Assist the College in achieving financial soundness and diversify revenue streams.
• Lead business and financial planning to achieve strong operating results and a stable capital financing plan.
• Guide investments, endowment, and insurance needs; ensure appropriate coverages.
• Monitor controls and oversee compliance and risk management.
• Direct financial accounting and reporting with the Controller.
• Develop reporting systems to inform leadership about financial impacts of decisions.
• Prepare financial forecasts and ensure positive cash flows.
• Support the College’s strategic plan with multi-year budgets and strategic financial modeling.
• Manage long-term debt and oversee audits and tax returns.
• Review student accounts receivable status as needed.
• Oversee grant administration and reporting to ensure grant compliance.
• Ensure sustainable divisions aligned with the College’s business plan and strategic goals.
