Job summary

Mount Saint Joseph High School is seeking a collaborative Controller to lead the Business Office and safeguard the school’s financial integrity. The role reports to the CFO and drives accounting operations, reporting, audits, and internal controls to support strategic decision‑making and mission‑driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting.
• Experience managing audits, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash receipts, and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare statements, dashboards, and management reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Monitor internal controls and financial policy compliance.
• Partner with CFO and administrators on budgets and financial planning.
