Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the Finance Division for ACPE and the Alaska Student Loan Corporation (ASLC). You will supervise staff, guide budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, and coordinate complex financing with the board and executives.

You will drive long-term financial stability, oversee audits, investments, and banking activities, and provide expertise to keep ACPE/ASLC mission-driven while navigating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with intermediate accounting and at least one theory-related course.
• Minimum seven years in financial management or accounting with three years of supervisory experience.
• Graduate study may substitute for two years of required work experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Finance Division, supervising staff and setting priorities.
• Provide strategic financial leadership to ACPE and ASLC, guiding revenue growth and cost containment.
• Oversee ASLC financial statements and annual audits.
• Manage cashflow, liquidity, and budgeting for ACPE and ASLC.
• Develop accounting policies and controls compliant with GASB, GAAP, and bond documents.
• Coordinate financing activities with advisors and legal counsel; brief executives and boards.
