The Chief Financial Officer position for the Juneau School District in Southeast Alaska leads the district's financial planning, budget development, and long-range fiscal sustainability efforts, supervising Finance, Payroll, and Food Service while ensuring public resources support student success.

The CFO reports to the Superintendent and Board, communicates financial information to diverse stakeholders, and participates in labor relations, procurement, and compliance to safeguard public funds.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or related field.
• Progressive supervisory experience in school district business management or related education sector.
• Experience in labor relations and contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of budgeting best practices and financial analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

Mansioni

• Lead district budget preparation, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Oversee Finance, Payroll, and Food Service operations and internal controls.
• Coordinate with City and Borough of Juneau Finance & Engineering Departments.
• Issue RFPs and manage procurement activities including transportation and services.
• Represent financial matters to the School Board and community.
