Job summary

Credit-Unions-of-Alabama seeks an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial functions, drive strategy, and oversee regulatory financial planning for the credit union. You will shape capital strategy, balance sheet optimization, and risk management while guiding a high-performing finance team.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15 years of financial leadership in financial institutions, CPA qualification, and an MBA.

Qualifications

• Ten to fifteen years of progressive financial leadership experience in a financial institution.
• CPA required; MBA strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of ALM, capital planning, liquidity management, and regulatory financial planning.
• Ability to analyze data, read and create reports across multiple software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial performance, capital strategy, liquidity, and long-term planning.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead ALM, liquidity management, interest rate risk modeling, and capital planning.
• Direct the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Support Board and committee governance and cross-department initiatives.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team with succession planning.
