New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer in Concord, NH, with hybrid eligibility. The CFO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, guiding financial planning, risk management, and major growth initiatives to sustain public service journalism and community impact.

The role requires strong nonprofit financial leadership, 7+ years in senior financial management, and proven ability to lead staff, budgets, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MPA preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressively increasing financial management experience, ideally in a nonprofit.
• Experience leading staff and budgets, project planning and execution, and working with boards.
• Deep financial modeling and strategic financial analysis.
• Strong communication and ethical leadership in a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead NHPR's financial health and operational effectiveness.
• Serve as principal financial and strategic business partner to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and Finance Committee.
• Oversee risk management, audits, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
• Direct accounting operations, cash flow management, and relationships with financial partners.
• Develop budgets, monitor performance, and drive long-term financial sustainability.
