Job summary

Mackenzie Stuart Ltd, partnering with a PE-backed veterinary group, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to guide the organization through its next phase of growth and scale. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will lead finance across 50+ hospitals and influence strategy with the Board and PE sponsors.

This hands-on role covers FP&A, budgeting, treasury, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on performance improvement, EBITDA growth, and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Previous CFO experience in a multi-site veterinary organization.
• Experience with $200M+ in annual revenue or higher.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance management skills.
• Proven ability to partner with CEOs, Boards of Directors and PE sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance and accounting across a multi-site veterinary platform generating $200M+ in revenue.
• Oversee FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, audit, and internal controls.
• Partner with Operations leadership to drive hospital-level performance and profitability.
• Develop KPI reporting and financial dashboards to support decision-making.
• Lead annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning.
