Job summary

The Trustees of Reservations in Boston, MA is seeking a seasoned CFO to lead strategic financial management across a statewide network of lands, historic sites, and museums. You will partner with the CEO and Board to shape vision, elevate financial acumen, and sustain growth for a mission-driven, public-facing nonprofit.

You will oversee accounting, FP&A, endowment, and audit functions, mentor a twelve-member finance team, and advance forecasting, reporting, and compliance to support program

Qualifications

  • 15+ years as a proven senior-level financial executive with a track record of driving growth-oriented financial strategy.
  • Diverse and broad financial experience across nonprofit/public/NGO sectors is preferred.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
  • Certification or advanced degree (CPA, MBA, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial management strategy underpinning the Trustees' statewide network of protected lands, historic sites, and museums.
  • Oversee accounting, FP&A, and data services; manage a twelve-member finance team.
  • Prepare the annual operating budget and long-range financial plans; monitor expenses.
