Job summary

North Jersey Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to guide Finance, Accounting, and Collections at the Totowa, NJ headquarters. This hands-on leader will balance strategic oversight with daily financial operations to support growth and member service.

The ideal candidate has executive leadership experience in a regulated financial institution, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex financials to the CEO and board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Senior-level finance or executive leadership experience in a credit union, bank, or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, regulatory exams, internal controls, ALM, liquidity, CECL, and board reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, collections, and reporting.
• Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to the CEO, Board, committees, and leadership team.
• Oversee financial controls, audits, regulatory exams, GAAP compliance, and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage liquidity, investments, ALM, interest rate risk, CECL, and related financial risk areas.
