Hermann Park Conservancy in Houston, TX is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, guide long-term financial sustainability, and support major capital initiatives. The CFO partners with the President & CEO and the Board to shape financial strategy, manage risk, and ensure transparent reporting across multiple revenue streams.

The role oversees budgeting, treasury, accounting, and compliance for a nonprofit with an annual budget of about $9M and a $300M capital campaign,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior leadership responsibilities.
• Experience overseeing nonprofit accounting, treasury, and grants handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning aligning with the Conservancy's plan and capital campaign.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting to the CEO and Board.
• Manage risk, compliance (Form 990), and internal controls across multiple revenue streams.
• Guide capital investments and collaboration with Development for fundraising financial positioning.
• Supervise Accounting Manager and optimize financial systems including Blackbaud FE-NXT.
