Job summary

Kimmel & Associates in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial function and strategic growth.

Reporting to the President, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, WIP, job costing, audits, and banking relationships while shaping long-term business planning.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction finance, CPA preferred, and proven leadership in implementing ERP systems such as Sage or Viewpoint.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in commercial construction.
Experience as CFO/VP of Finance/Controller or equivalent at a General Contractor.
Deep knowledge of construction accounting, WIP, PoC, job costing, cash flow.
Experience with banking, bonding, insurance, audits and compliance.
CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead all accounting, finance, and financial reporting functions.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and long-range planning.
Manage WIP, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and financial analysis.
Direct banking relationships, bonding, insurance, audits, and tax coordination.
Develop financial strategies to drive growth and operational excellence.
Partner with executive leadership on profitability and strategic planning.
Strengthen internal controls and reporting capabilities.
