The Horizon Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, accounting, benefits, and reporting across churches, camps, campus ministries, and mission partners. The role is hybrid, based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with a senior leadership team focus and fiduciary responsibilities.

You will steer multi-year forecasts, oversee audit readiness, manage investment and restricted funds, and guide pension and health plans for clergy and lay

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Seven+ years financial management experience, nonprofit preferred.
• Five+ years supervisory experience leading staff.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, GAAP, and audits.
• Ability to present financial information to boards and committees.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as chief financial advisor to the Resident Bishop and senior leadership.
• Develop multi-year forecasts, reserve strategies, and budget plans.
• Oversee GAAP compliance, audits, and restricted-fund reporting.
• Lead accounting, treasury, and financial operations across programs.
• Communicate financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
