Job summary

Bronco Federal Credit Union in Franklin, VA seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning. You will report to the President/CEO and serve on the Executive Team, guiding financial performance and balance sheet strategy with integrity and sound judgment.

The role requires seven or more years in financial management within a credit union or regulated financial institution, CPA/MBA/CFA preferred, and a proven track record in ALCO,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Seven or more years of progressive financial management experience in a credit union or similar regulated institution.
CPA, MBA, CFA, CCUE, or similar certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and NCUA regulations with board reporting and CECL oversight.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting and finance functions, including financial statements and regulatory reports.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Manage asset/liability and liquidity management, and investment oversight.
Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting.
Provide Board-level financial analysis and strategic guidance to executives.
