Job summary

A global chemical manufacturer is seeking a proactive Category Manager to manage a portfolio of tail‑spend chemicals. You will optimize sourcing strategies, drive supplier evaluations, and lead the material approval process. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in chemical procurement and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. This full-time position is based on-site at a manufacturing plant in Alabama or Idaho.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in chemical procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Proven expertise in managing tail-spend or low-volume/high-variation portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of material approval workflows.
