Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Category Manager to lead sourcing for OE and Aftermarket, develop category strategies, standardize contracts, and align supplier performance with business goals.

You will identify suppliers, analyze data, and drive cost reductions across multiple categories. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, ERP experience (SAP preferred), and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Business.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills are essential.
• CPIM, CSCP or CPM certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers meeting OE and Aftermarket requirements with focus on productivity and cost.
• Develop category strategies for multiple spend areas (e.g., Steel, Castings, Forgings, Machining, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Electronics, Indirect).
• Standardize Contracts and Master Purchase Agreements for category purchases.
• Analyze technical data, designs, specs, manufacturing constraints, supplier facilities, and availability of parts/services.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to implement category strategies.
• Monitor supply markets and trends; develop cost models for categories.
• Own Supplier Relationship Management for strategic supply base within category.
• Establish strategy timeline, manage deliverables, and escalate issues as needed.
