Job summary

LHH US is partnering with a client to recruit a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across its U.S. supply base.

This high-impact procurement role focuses on driving cost savings and strengthening supplier partnerships throughout the United States. You will lead domestic sourcing strategies, manage a team, oversee RFPS and contract development, and monitor market trends to inform purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
• 2+ years of people leadership with direct supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Creative problem-solver with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of distribution, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively in a team environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead domestic sourcing strategies across categories.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring service and cost performance.
• Manage and mentor a team.
• Drive annual cost-savings initiatives through spend analysis and market intelligence.
• Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract development.
• Monitor market trends and pricing indices to inform purchasing decisions.
• Oversee accurate item setup, costing, and supplier assignments.
