Job summary

Truist is seeking a Category Manager to oversee demand and supply management for one or more supplier categories, optimizing total cost of ownership and mitigating risk. You will build strong executive relationships, drive category strategy, and lead cross-functional teams through RFIs, RFPs, contracts, and sourcing plans.

The role requires 6–8 years in sourcing within regulated environments, solid negotiation, analytics, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years of sourcing experience in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of market, suppliers and cost drivers.
• Experience with matrixed supplier relationships.
• Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven track record in consolidating suppliers and driving spend to preferred suppliers.
• Subject matter expertise in strategic sourcing methodology and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships.
