Job summary

Benchmade Knife Company, Inc. seeks a Category Manager to lead one or more product categories, owning strategy, portfolio, commercialization, and P&L. You will steer engineers and designers, balancing strategy with hands-on product management and deciding what to build and why.

You will lead category roadmaps, drive customer insights, partner with innovation teams, and ensure successful launches while managing budgets and cross-functional priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in Product, Category, or Product Line Management.

Responsibilities

• Own long-term category strategy and 3-year roadmaps.
• Lead customer research and translate needs into strategy.
• Direct lifecycle management from concept to end-of-life.
• Coach and develop engineers and designers on the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
• Travel as needed (typically less than 10%).
