Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. seeks a Category Manager to direct product development policies and initiatives across the department.

You will analyze buying trends, sales, price and quality to maximize value and yield, and authorize merchandise for purchase under contract terms. You will outline department standards, provide stores with actionable data, and lead training programs to boost sales, margins, and product knowledge while maintaining Sprouts' commitment to freshness and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 5+ years in departmental experience
• Experience in category management/buying/negotiation is required
• Requires long-term strategic and financial planning skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information, communicate with all levels of management and work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines
• Complete understanding of P/L statements, general ledgers, and margins
• Some travel required

Responsabilités

• Outline and uphold Sprouts standards for all products in the department
• Provide stores with data to maximize sales and profitability
• Create programs with training to boost sales, margin and minimize spoilage
• Establish inventory processes with accurate accounting
• Set regional or global pricing to meet budgets
• Develop budgets, sales, gross margins and profit goals
• Review weekly, monthly and quarterly statements
• Coordinate and source vendor participation for new store openings and resets
• Develop vendor relationships and ensure quality products
