Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Category Manager, Forecast and Planning for Global Manufacturing and Distribution Services in Houston. The role drives financial modeling, investment prioritization, and long-range planning with executive visibility into performance against targets.

You will lead multi-year forecasting, ROI tracking, and standardization of processes across seven pillars, interfacing with operations, finance, and sourcing to maximize savings and value for Amazon’s vast supply

Qualifications

• 4+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
• 4+ years of data visualization and reports tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build, maintain, and refine financial models projecting savings delivery, cost avoidance, and investment returns across all pillars within Global Manufacturing and Distribution Services.
• Resource Investment Prioritization: Develop and manage frameworks for evaluating and prioritizing resource allocation (finances, time, materials) across initiatives.
• Long-Range Operational Planning: Lead annual and multi-year planning cycles, build bottoms-up forecasts, set targets, and align roadmaps with strategy.
• Performance Measurement & Reporting: Establish standardized methodologies for tracking enablement, ROI, and cost reduction; create executive dashboards and reporting cadences.
• Transformation Program Tracking: Monitor status of transformation initiatives; flag risks and variances; propose corrective actions.
• Business Case Development: Partner with pillar leaders to build business cases for investments and headcount requests.
• Variance Analysis & Risk Management: Conduct variance analysis against plan and develop mitigation strategies.
• Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly reviews and ROI reports for senior leadership.
• Process Standardization: Drive consistency in financial reporting across seven pillars.
