Xcel Energy, a leading energy provider, seeks a Principal Category Manager - Construction Services to lead critical sourcing strategies, negotiate with key suppliers, and manage risk across enterprise categories.

The role requires building cross-functional teams, driving value, and ensuring compliance with supplier programs, with a strong emphasis on strategic negotiation and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 8 years of supply chain/ category management, supplier relationship management, sourcing and contract management experience.
• 5 years leading complex contract negotiations and project management.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and implementation of enterprise-wide category strategies and spend analyses.
• Lead tier I supplier relationship management for critical suppliers; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Develop contract strategies and negotiate changes; ensure compliance and implement plans.
• Collaborate with Legal and Security to manage risk in contracts and limit company risk.
• Create and manage project plans to implement category strategies and drive improvements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the supply chain team on category and sourcing strategies.
