Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a Career Development Manager in Haslam College of Business. The role leads professional development and business communication opportunities for undergraduate students, supervising coordinators and training student workers.

It reports to the Director of Professional and Career Development and contributes to strategic planning and program delivery.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Minimum five years’ full-time experience in education, preferably in a university setting.
Three years’ experience working with students, employees or clients in 1:1 settings or teaching.
Program development and assessment experience.
Familiarity with business communication (resumes, cover letters, executive summaries).

Responsibilities

Supervise professional staff and provide support to the PCD Director.
Contribute to departmental leadership objectives and policy.
Engage with internal and external experts for curriculum and program design.
Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for student support initiatives.
Collaborate with campus units on career programming.
Oversee BUAD 492 internship course; stay current with teaching best practices.
