Calumet is seeking a seasoned Capital Projects professional to lead early-stage development for capital opportunities at operating sites within the petroleum manufacturing sector. You will drive scope Definition from screening through scoping and work with site teams and stakeholders across engineering, operations and finance to ensure alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical/business discipline.
• 10+ years in capital project development or project engineering.
• FEL methodology and stage-gate project development knowledge.
• Experience leading cross-functional discussions across operations, engineering, finance.

Responsibilities

• Help define potential scope of new capital opportunities from screening through scoping.
• Translate business needs into actionable project scopes for evaluation.
• Support business case development: portfolio fit, feasibility, cost, schedule, resources.
• Collaborate with SMEs to screen, evaluate, shape development options.
• Lead early development discussions with site teams and leadership for scope alignment.
• Drive decisions, actions, risks, and follow-ups to maintain momentum.
• Apply best practices to improve capital efficiency across the portfolio.
• Ensure projects are well defined and ready for next development phase.
