FirstEnergy Corp in Ohio seeks a Capital Portfolio Specialist to support Operations and Engineering in managing the Ohio rate districts’ capital program. Reporting location is the Fairlawn Office in Akron, with other Ohio centers considered.

You will help sponsors with detailed project scopes, oversee financials, develop scorecards, forecast scopes and budgets, and deliver timely analysis to senior leadership.

Formación

• Proven project management abilities with exceptional time management skills and the ability to develop, manage, and control multiple tasks.
• Develops knowledge of National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and National Electric Code (NEC), and Customer Guide for Electric Services (CGES).
• Superb interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical ability.
• Effective analytical and reasoning capabilities; able to structure and confidently present information to peers and leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrating commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Planning strategically for the multi-year capital portfolio to ensure a highly confident and executable plan is prepared to meet the state's operational goals and aligns with financial targets.
• Supporting project sponsors in the development of detailed project scopes and engage in end-to-end project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Providing oversight of program, blanket and specific project financials; identifying risks, resolve issues, and expedite appropriately.
• Establishing scorecards for tracking the progress of approved financial commitments.
• Offering recommendations on potential financial offsets to meet the state's emergent needs.
• Performing forecasting activities for project scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Providing excellent customer service through timely and accurate information, analysis and reporting.
• Developing strategic content and messaging for business needs, including presentation development for senior leadership.
