FirstEnergy Corp in Akron, Ohio, seeks a skilled professional to join the Ohio Capital Portfolio team. The role supports Operations and Engineering staff, manages multi-year capital projects, and coordinates sponsors and stakeholders to keep the portfolio on time and on budget.

The preferred reporting location is the Fairlawn Office in Akron, with other service centers possible based on space. This onsite position emphasizes safety, planning, and finance alignment with state goals.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related discipline and 2 - 4 years' related work experience are required.
• Or high school diploma or equivalent and minimum 5 years' related work experience are required.
• Proven project management abilities with exceptional time management skills and the ability to develop, manage, and control multiple tasks.
• Develops knowledge of NESC, NEC and CGES.
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical ability.
• Ability to structure and present information to peers and leadership.
• Ability to work on assignments involving compiling and analyzing data, reports, or projects.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrating commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Planning strategically for the multi-year capital portfolio to align with state goals and financial targets.
• Supporting sponsors in developing detailed project scopes and end-to-end project management.
• Providing oversight of program, blanket and specific project financials; identifying risks and expediting issues.
• Establishing scorecards for tracking progress of approved financial commitments.
• Offering recommendations on potential financial offsets to meet emergent needs.
• Performing forecasting for project scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Providing excellent customer service through timely and accurate information and reporting.
• Developing strategic content and messaging for business needs, including senior leadership presentations.
• Supporting hazard and damage assessment processes as needed.
