Job summary

The City of Burlington, Vermont seeks a Capital Program Director to lead its Capital Planning and Budgeting efforts. You will work with the Capital Committee and Administration to publish a multi-year General Fund Capital Plan and annual budget, ensuring alignment with city goals and asset management.

You will coordinate with departments, advocate for funding, supervise project management standards, and provide critical financial analysis to support capital investments and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience including facilities/construction/project management.
• Leadership and collaboration with department heads and stakeholders.
• Executive decision-making能力 (ability to make decisions).

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish a multi-year General Fund Capital Plan and Annual Capital Budget.
• Coordinate with General Fund departments to implement capital projects and track budgets.
• Advise City Administration and elected officials on CIP matters.
• Oversee development of project management standards for capital projects.
