Job summary

Montana State University seeks an Associate/ Campus Planner to support long-range facilities planning across MSU Bozeman and MAES campuses. You will assist with capital project prioritization, data management, and interdepartmental coordination to advance the university’s growth agenda.

The role requires a bachelor’s in planning or a related field with planning experience; strong communication, data analysis, and GIS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field plus experience in facilities planning or long-range planning.
• Experience in strategic, capital, and long-range planning; space management and budgeting.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and GIS; ability to read floor plans/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate LRBP Priority Capital Projects List with legislative appropriations.
• Create and manage a comprehensive Capital Projects Database.
• Coordinate accreditation and liaise with state agencies and boards.
• Develop and maintain planning documents, reports, and data access facilities.
