Job summary

University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, SC seeks a Project Manager to lead design and execution of capital construction and renovation projects on campus. You will work with USC Upstate stakeholders, the Office of State Engineer, and USC Columbia to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Primary duties include coordinating design, bidding, construction, and closeout; monitoring contracts and compliance with drawings; preparing status reports; and ensuring adherence to campus

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and 2+ years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and successful background check required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering with 5+ years of PM experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, bid, construct, and close out capital projects with campus clients and agencies.
• Coordinate A/E procurement, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Monitor contracts, change orders, and ensure customer deliverables and punch lists.
• Provide project status reports and ensure compliance with campus design guidelines.
