Job summary

The University of South Carolina of Upstate seeks an Assistant Director of Energy Management to lead energy programs, campus facilities operations, and building systems oversight. This role reports to the Facilities Management Director and oversees energy efficiency projects, budget management, and utility data analysis.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience in higher education facilities management.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• A successful background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Data Management & Analytics: Compile, analyze, and track monthly energy and utility consumption data.
• Administration: Manage operational budgets, analyze energy data, and review utility billing for accuracy.
• Area Oversight: Direct daily operations for Building and Operational Services; supervise trades.
• Asset Evaluation & Strategy: Develop lifecycle maintenance strategies and long-range infrastructure plans.
• System Administration: Serve as CMMS administrator and coordinate digital work orders.
