Job summary

Powertec is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management, ensuring timely, cost-effective material flow to production. You will drive KPIs, negotiate terms, and collaborate across manufacturing, sales, and engineering to optimize supply chain performance.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical mindset, and continuous improvement focus, with 5+ years in lean supply chain and ERP proficiency. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field required.
• MBA in supply chain preferred.
• 5+ years in lean supply chain or lean manufacturing with contracts experience.
• Demonstrated process improvement experience required.
• Global sourcing and capital equipment purchasing is desirable.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing with customized products.
• Experience leading and developing teams; ERP/MS Office proficiency.
• Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Supply chain certification (ISM or APICS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing, master production scheduling, and sourcing processes.
• Establish and drive KPIs for supply chain, inventory, sourcing, and MPS.
• Develop and oversee supplier quality initiatives and scorecards.
• Provide cross-functional materials and sourcing leadership across manufacturing, sales, and engineering.
• Lead cost-reduction efforts and manage a project funnel for yearly goals.
• Develop supplier negotiation strategies and improve terms.
• Monitor commodity markets and respond to price/supply changes.
• Leverage MRP/ERP to improve supply chain efficiencies.
• Collaborate on part standardization and materials optimization.
• Conduct make-versus-buy analyses leveraging company capabilities.
