Job summary

Gila River Resorts & Casinos in Chandler, AZ is seeking a proactive procurement professional to manage purchasing activities from intent to delivery. You will identify suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with enterprise policies and state gaming regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Self-directed and detail-oriented, inquisitive nature and the desire to solve problems with analytical thinking.
• Deep understanding and professional experience with purchasing procedures and laws.
• Good organizational skills and experience with working as part of a team.
• Must follow the GILA WAY: Greet, Interact, Listen, Appreciate.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong telephone etiquette; ability to follow up and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation from guests and team members.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of policies and regulations within one year.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
• Coordinates all activities related to procurement from intent to purchase through delivery.
• Identify external material or service needs and find service providers.
• Negotiate pricing and arrange purchases; manage contracts up to the $1M range.
• Ensure compliance with Arizona State Gaming Regulations and internal policies.
• Enforce confidentiality of casino operations data related to purchasing responsibilities.
• Process information timely to meet deadlines set by Senior Buyer.
• Interface with warehouse on items received and returned; maintain attendance.
