Responsibilities include selecting vendors, maintaining relationships, negotiating prices, and supporting distribution centers in emergencies. Growth opportunities exist within the essential food distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years purchasing or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Select vendors based on ability to provide continuous supply, service level, and market responsiveness.
• Maintain vendor relationships by resolving invoicing, product, or delivery issues.
• Select product based on market, performance, and vendor reputation.
• Negotiate prices and quantities based on orders, volume discounts, and warehousing utilization.
• Negotiate long‑term contracts to ensure continuous supply.
• Support distribution centers for emergencies through rapid product delivery.
• Provide pricing information to sales and advise on pricing structure for product lines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
