Job summary

Vast is seeking a Buyer in Long Beach, CA to support end-to-end sourcing for assigned commodities and to help build the supply base for Haven Station programs. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the role involves analyzing quotes, executing RFQs/RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and finance to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail.
• Experience with RFQ/RFP cycles and PO placement would be advantageous.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned commodities/categories, from demand identification through supplier selection and purchase order placement.
• Conduct ongoing market research to identify potential suppliers/subcontractors and support RFQ/RFP execution.
• Experience sourcing tight-tolerance, low-volume/high-mix hardware for development or production.
