Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Contract Buyer in Youngsville, NC to support a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The role requires extensive SAP MRP experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage POs, pricing records, and supplier relations to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor degree in a related field and 12 years in purchasing/procurement/supply chain.
• Experience with SAP MRP/ERP systems, with 2+ years of SAP experience preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP and office productivity tools.
• Experience supporting or working within SIOP processes.

Responsibilities

• Convert requisitions into purchase orders to support production schedules.
• Issue PO change notices and communicate changes to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor exception messages to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain Material Master data and PIR records in SAP to ensure MRP health.
• Reconcile supplier invoices and resolve blocked invoices with Finance and Suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement and material flow.
• Support SIOP processes with accurate procurement data.
• Collaborate with Finance, Receiving, Quality, and Suppliers.
