Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a Buyer to oversee profitable procurement and timely delivery of products for assigned lines. You will work with the Sr. Director of Purchasing to manage supply chain and inventory for promotionally active categories, ensuring adherence to company policies.

Key responsibilities include forecasting orders, negotiating costs, and coordinating with stores, warehouses, and divisions to optimize inventory turns while maintaining service levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Purchasing or Vendor Management experience.
• Strong understanding of grocery procurement, logistics, inventory management and finance practices.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with initiative to make data-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Order products to meet forecasted demand.
• Obtain best product costs, quality and service at all times.
• Analyze inventory and promotions to forecast orders and advise merchandising.
• Review costs to ensure lowest cost while considering quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with vendors, store operations, and distribution centers.
