Job summary

Therm-x of California in Hayward, CA is seeking a Buy er/Planner to coordinate purchasing and material flow across departments. You will plan, place, and maintain purchase orders and work orders, manage inventory levels, expediting material when necessary, and source suppliers to meet production demands.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of procurement or planning experience, a Bachelor’s in Supply Management or equivalent, and strong MS Office and ERP systems skills.

Qualifications

• Planning experience is required.
• Purchasing experience desirable.
• Familiarity with machine shop planning and supplies procurement processes
• Proficient with MS Office products & experience with ERP Systems
• High level of oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Bachelor Degree in Supply Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years related procurement or planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, place, and maintain purchase orders and work orders.
• Manage inventory levels and expedite material when necessary.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Monitor open orders and resolve issues such as quality discrepancies or invoices.
• Use ERP system to process requisitions and track deliveries.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to schedule movement of work orders.
