Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a Buyer in Irving, TX to negotiate purchases of equipment, supplies and services within authorized limits. You will process requisitions, POs and receiving transactions, and lead special projects while ensuring accurate order and inventory records in Oracle/MyBuy.

The role requires 3+ years in buying/procurement, strong Excel and data-analysis skills, and collaboration across Procurement, Operations, AP, and Logistics to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business or Finance required.
• 3+ years buying and procurement experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and data analysis.
• Ability to reconcile purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and inventory transactions.
• Effective verbal and written skills with mid to upper-level management.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage purchase orders, requisitions, and receiving transactions in support of operations.
• Resolve discrepancies between PO, receipts, invoices, credits and inventory with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Manage RMA processing and reconciliation activities in Oracle to ensure accurate order and inventory records.
• Maintain and distribute open order, backorder, and operational reports for planning and performance.
• Support inbound inventory transactions, device orders, and fulfillment activities.
