Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Buyer to negotiate equipment, supplies and services within authorized limits, process requisitions and purchase orders, and lead customer-focused procurement projects using Oracle/MyBuy.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, strong data analysis in Excel, and the ability to resolve discrepancies while supporting inventory planning and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business or Finance required.
• Minimum of 3 years buying and procurement experience.
• Strong Excel skills, reporting and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage purchase orders, requisitions, and receiving transactions.
• Resolve discrepancies in PO, receipt, invoice, and inventory via internal stakeholders.
• Manage RMA processing and reconciliation in Oracle to keep records accurate.
• Maintain open/backorder/operational reports for inventory planning and performance.
• Coordinate with Order Management, Customer Service, AP, Logistics and suppliers on escalations.
• Support inbound inventory transactions and device order fulfillment.
• Expedite and standard PO requests following SLAs.
• Provide support during high demand or emergency procurement situations.
• Contribute to continuous procurement and inventory improvements.
