Victaulic is seeking a Buyer/Planner I to efficiently manage groups of items and suppliers, improving inventory turns while delivering high customer service. The role uses replenishment methods to reduce SLOB, expedites orders, and maintains key data systems for smooth operations.

The candidate will support lean initiatives, establish safety stock and kanban parameters, and own day-to-day supplier relationships, including occasional overseas coordination.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, material control or related fields.
• Strong analytical problem solving ability.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Willing to travel infrequently overnight.

Responsabilidades

• Manage group of items and suppliers to optimize inventory turns.
• Use replenishment methods to maximize availability and minimize SLOB.
• Develop and manage databases to ensure systems run smoothly.
• Expedite suppliers and logistics; monitor supplier performance.
• Establish safety stock positions and kanban lot sizes.
• Resolve discrepancies related to quality, delivery, quantity, and invoicing.
• Own tactical day-to-day supplier relationships.
• Identify cost-down opportunities and communicate to owners.
• Collaborate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
• Evening/weekend communication with overseas teams occasionally.
